Pat MacDonald and I, who both write for Love Inspired, went to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Pat took the New York skyline from the camera built into her phone. (I need to get one of those.) The second picture is in a little park near the Woolworths Building.
And it was cool that day. 65 degrees. If you're from Texas, you don't bring winter things on a trip when it's close to 100 at home.
I loved this fountain when we lived in NYC about 35 years ago. Thanks for the memories. And yes, pack for where you're going, not for where you're leaving. Learned that one big-time in Europe, fall 2010.
